John BerdnerSenior Director of Regulatory and Policy Strategy, Enphase Energy

Mr. Berdner has more than 30 years of PV industry experience and has been active in Codes and Standards development for more than 20 years. John is a recognized expert on utility interconnection requirements and advanced inverter grid functionality. At Enphase, John is responsible for all global regulatory compliance, standards development and policy activities within the company.

 Rich MoorePresident and co-founder, Freedom Solar

Rich has worked in the solar PV installation business for almost 10 years.  Prior to starting Freedom Solar in 2009, Rich worked for Real Goods Solar & Regrid Power.  Before solar, Rich worked in the semiconductor industry for 20 years with Texas Instruments, ITT, NEC, and Multilink.  Rich has a mechanical engineering degree from Purdue University.

 Greg SmithSenior Technical Training Specialist, SMA

Greg has been a technical training specialist for the SMA Solar Academy since May 2008. He has 20 years of technical training experience specializing in curriculum development. Greg travels extensively in the United States and Canada teaching customers about SMA products, electrical code compliance and installation best practices.
