Fremont Residential Solar Tour & Solar Energy Workshop
Saturday, October 05, 2019, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM PDT
Category: Solar Tours

The City of Fremont is a Bay Area solar leader, with close to 7,000 electric vehicle owners and over 4300 properties with solar PV systems, many of which have storage integrated into their solar installs. In 2017, Fremont adopted a mandatory solar requirement for new residential construction and passed a solar preservation ordinance for existing construction.

Come speak with residents about their experiences at sites which have solar already equipped, and learn about solar discount programs you can take advantage of, such as the Bay Area SunShares Program (bayareasunshares.org). The deadline to sign up for these programs is November 15, 2019 so if you’re considering going solar, this is an ideal opportunity to learn more about the process and benefits.

The event includes: an optional Solar Energy Workshop in the morning, networking, and a tour of Fremont residences and a church equipped with solar and other green features, which will be open for viewing between noon and 4 pm.
